Postgraduate Certificate in Digital Biology

As bioscience research becomes more quantitative and predictive in nature, many biologists will wish to develop new skills in data analysis. The topics of interest to a biologist active in research will include :

the development of a model of a biological system;
an understanding of methods for fitting data to a model;
an understanding of how models are coded;
an introduction to bioinformatic methods appropriate for systems biology.

A Postgraduate Certificate can be awarded on successful completion of four 15-credit postgraduate modules. A combination of modules that would meet the needs of many biologists would be :

You are free to substitute other modules if the above options do not quite meet your needs. For example, some people might prefer to take either Data Modelling and Databases or Advanced sequence analysis instead of Bioinformatics for transcriptomics. The choice is yours.
